About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager to own and lead its ERP implementation project across all of the basic manufacturing and business workflows. This business transformation project will replace a legacy ERP system with IFS ERP system across our 6 North American Plants – 5 in the US and 1 in Canada. After go-live, the Senior Manager will have two smaller implementations to direct as well as continual work in extending the ERP’s functionality into new modules and continuous improvement. This position is an opportunity to drive a manufacturing ERP project from start to finish and put to work a technical, business-minded and collaborative problem-solving skill set to achieve a successful go-live!
Lead the implementation project through the design and development state through to a successful go-live.
Lead and motivate a small team of core ERP internal BPOs, SMEs, technical resources, and consultants to understand the current and future states of the project.
Develop a close working relationship with senior management, plant managers, SMEs, BPOs, IT, and IFS consultants to build consensus in collaboration with stakeholders to define efficient and necessary pathways forward in the project.
Establish the requirements required to design and configure the new ERP system.
Work with teams from different workflows to gain alignment and ensure that the ERP solution will work for each site’s business processes.
Manage the ERP consultant resources in order to ensure they have the skills needed to correctly establish the ERP solution.
Manage the overall project, ensuring it is properly resourced, within budget and timeframe.
Identify any project roadblocks and take ownership of understanding the issues, finding solutions, creating alignment, and driving the project forward.
Report-up weekly to the Executive ERP Steering Committee on project progress, challenges, and risks.
Manage technical aspects of the implementation to ensure all data and processes are accounted for.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must:
Have experience in manufacturing ERP systems, ideally in process manufacturing involving large numbers of SKUs with a high level of complexity.
Demonstrate experience in full life cycle project management in collaboration with the Vendor Partner, including but not limited to: requirement definitions, design, configuration/development, data migration, testing, change management, training, go-live, and post implementation support.
Possess strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to travel 25% of the time.
Possess experience with mid-market manufacturing ERP systems, IFS a plus, or similar (SAP mid-market, Epicor, Infor).
Have experience using lean techniques and tools, including Value Stream Mapping, evaluate, redesign, and optimize business processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Possess experience creating, using, and maintaining data in a MSSQL or any relational database.
Have strong systems development and management skills with hands-on experience implementing mid-market ERP and other business systems.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and within internal business groups.
