
About the Role
The Senior Applications Architect is responsible for leading and supporting of a portfolio of applications and technology solutions including ERP and other GXP systems. The position combines strategic and tactical focus on day to day operations, solution architecture, support, maintenance, deployment and acquisition data and technology integrations. Additionally, the Senior Applications Architect is also responsible for planning and overseeing technical development and configuration being executed by both internal and vendor led teams while working collaboratively with business units delivering technical solutions.

In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity to drive:
Establish and manage SLAs by guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by the end users for the portfolio of applications.
Develop relevant metrics, measure, and publish the performance of the services provided and enable continuous improvement activities.
Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications; including 24/7 coverage as required.
Create and maintain IT SOP’s on source code, configuration control, code configuration reviews, and issue tracking.
Own availability and performance of applications portfolio, including incidents and support.
Work closely with IT personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting and implementing specific technology which supports the business plans.
Collaborate with business and key IT stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and schedule applications development and enhancement requests, while providing direction and guidance to the applications team
Participate in yearly development of the technology roadmap, backup strategy, and DR planning.
Communicate project status to Project Manager(s) as needed.
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions align with IT, infrastructure, business, and security architectures.
Assist help desk support when needed.
What You Need to Succeed in This Position
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, plus 5-7 years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in SQL development, ERP Systems, Microsoft Suite, and database management strongly preferred.
2–3 years of experience utilizing IFS ERP software preferred.
Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders.
Expertise in business process understanding and analysis, M&A integration, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application/development support (ERP, CRM, SQL etc), and a strong business understanding.
Demonstrated experience driving results and process improvement.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of project management process and systems.
Ability to handle conflict with professionalism and manage disputes appropriately.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently to meet deadlines.
Travel up to 10% is required.
