About the Role

The Business Systems Analyst III will utilize business analyst skills and their fundamental understanding of departmental functions within the business to engineer internal applications. Experience with the IFS ERP is required. IFS Cloud ERP experience with RESTful APIs is a bonus. They will lead, plan, and manage integrated technology and identify integrations as required. They will manage implementations, requirements gathering, process analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment, recommend new applications, and modify existing applications while processing customer needs and translating them into technical solutions. The Business Systems Analyst III will serve as a senior Enterprise Application Engineering team member and deliver projects and end-user support with best-in-class methodology, which may include guiding more entry-level engineers.


Engineer and improve software solutions, applications, processes, and databases to meet customer needs

Manage Monthly Service Updates and Releases

Design and implement the source code of new applications; work assignments will be aimed more at analyzing system requirements and design versus actual production.

Generate, test, document, and perform any necessary debugging.

Effectively discuss/document existing and new application requirements with internal/external customers and perform updates and modifications as required.

Arrange project requirements in a programming sequence by analyzing requirements and preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of business requirements, computing capabilities, subject matter, data structure, programming language, and logic.

Understand customer requirements and how they translate into application features.

Develop technical work instructions that represent the design of new applications and processes and use handbooks/experience to direct and assist lower-level programmers in the design and development process.

Collaborate with the IT department to gather specifications for new applications, making system infrastructure highly available and scalable to meet the application development needs and specific customer needs or business requirements.

Develop high-quality requirements to program complete applications within deadlines.

Conduct functional and non-functional testing by performing unit and integration testing before launch.

Responsible for problem resolution and correction of production/operational problems as assigned (including off-hour support)

Serve as technical partner for Harbor designated business units, understanding the inner workings of technical needs and translating them to new solutions, which include research & analysis.

Create Projects and milestones with tasks, write documentation, and interpret technical documents.

Travel to MI once per quarter.

Other duties may be assigned at any time.


Education and/or Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6-9 years of related experience in application and software development

3+ years of experience working with ERP systems, ideally IFS Cloud ERP in a manufacturing environment, and experience using RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of Zoho application platform preferred

Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, and ORACLE

Knowledge of a variety of operation systems and platforms, software design, and programming principles

Intermediate business analyst skills
